报告人简介：

Wei(Daniel) Sun is leading scientist and project manager of CSIRO’s Data61, visiting researcher

of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Dr. Sun’s research projects are funded by DST, part of 

Australia Department of Defense, Australian Data61 strategic research fund, NEC business unit 

and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology in Japan. He received his 

PhD degree in information science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. 

He has served as guest editor of International Journal of Big Data Intelligence.

 
讲座摘要：

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) is a world-leading and

state-owned applied research agency. Aiming at both scientific and industrial value at CSIRO,

Dr. Sun will introduce CSIRO’s activities and bonds with China and his own research projects

for data driven society, including applying machine learning for large scale computer systems, 

big data and data mining techniques and software for industrial applications, block chain and

CSIRO’s discovery for actual applications, and machine intelligence in health care and 

Dr. Sun’ team.
