    Nuclear and neutrino physics are fundamental to stellar evolution and supernovas. Neutrinos are the

principle means by which energy is removed from the interior of an evolved star, and nuclei play a key

role in their production. I will discuss nuclear weak interactions in presupernova and supernova

environments.

报告人简介:
    Wendell Misch，在美国华盛顿州立大学获学士学位，2014年在美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校获博士学位，目前在上海交通大学从事博士后研究工作。主要研究领域为核天体物理。Wendell博士出身名门，其博士导师George Fuller是1983年诺贝尔物理学奖得主William Fowler的学生，William Fowler的大部分研究工作是在原子核天体物理方面，被誉为这一领域的先驱者。
