Historically the 134Pr nucleus was thought to be the best candidate for
chirality, and the observed band-1 and band-2 are treated as chiral bands.
The triaxial projection shell model has been used to investigate the chiral
bands in 134Pr. Present calculation found that the degeneracy of the two
bands is not due to the chirality but actually having completely different
intrinsic configuration, namely having 2- and 4- quasiparticle excitations,
respectively.The present theoretical result shows that g-factor measurement
for the two bands is crucial to confirm the present theoretical conclusion.
