　　报告人简介：

　　Jorge Posada is President of the Board of the GraphicsMedia.net (www.graphicsmedia.net), the

 International Network for the Cooperation in Applied Research in Computer Graphics, Multimodal-Multimedia 

Technologies, and Visual Interactive Digital Media Technologies, with 7 members worldwide. He is also 

Associate Director at Vicomtech (Visual Interaction and Communication Technologies Centre, www.vicomtech.org)

 since 2001. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from the Technische 

Universität Darmstadt (Germany) in the field of large model visualization in virtual reality for

 industrial plants, an Executive MBA from IE Business School (Spain), and a diploma degree

 in mechanical engineering (honors) from the EAFIT University (Colombia). After working for s

ome years as researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (Germany), in the 

Industrial Applications department, he joined applied in 2001 the R&D centre VICOMTech (San Sebastian, Spain) 

as Associate Director. He works there in applied research in the field of virtual reality and ambient

 intelligence, as well as in other areas of computer graphics & multimedia applied to the industry and the

 multimedia sectors. He has participated in many national and international research projects, including EU 

projects COST TU0801, COWORK, WIDE, VAR-TRAINER, VIRTUE. Jorge Posada is member of IEEE, ACM 

and Eurographics. He has co-authored more than 50 research publications and has been co-director of 

several Ph.D. Thesis in Computer Graphics. He is currently member of the Editorial Board of the Journal Multimedia

 Tools and Applications (Springer), and has been member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the international Journal

 Computer & Graphics (Elsevier) and the International Journal of Virtual Reality (IPI Press). He is also very 

active in international end conferences such as ACM Web3D 2013 (General Chair), ACM Web3D 2012 (General Co-Chair)

 and KES 2012 (General Co-Chair).

　　Dr. Cecília Sik Lányi studied Mathematics and Computer Science (B.S.) – József Attila University (1981) -

 Mathematics and Computer Science (M.S.) – József Attila University (1984). She became Teacher  of

 Mathematics - Berzsenyi Dániel Teacher Training College in 1988. She obtained the degree of  Dr. Univ. 

at the University of Veszprém, Hungary in Physical-chemistry (1993), and the degree of PhD at the University 

of Veszprém, Hungary in Computer Science (2000). She has worked as a software engineer and as an associate 

professor for program languages at the University of Pannonia. Currently she is focused on virtual reality and 

its application, user interface design, computer graphics for informatics engineering students and using

 multimedia in the education for teacher training courses. PhD and Masters’ supervision has an emphasis 

on multimedia/ virtual reality for the rehabilitation of children with disabilities and patients with mental health

 issues. She got the “Master teacher” award of the Hungarian Ministry of Education in 2001. She has published 

more than 300 refereed articles and conference papers, and worked as guest editor for many renowned journals.

 She was the secretariat manager of EDeAN in 2009. She is the representative of Hungary in IFIP Technical 

Committee 13: Human-Computer Interaction (TC13).

　　Edward is an award winning designer/director who, over a 25 year career as an independent artist, has 

created short animated films for such national and international clients as: Smithsonian, MTV, SCI-FI, Nickelodeon,

ABC, NBC, Ajinomoto-Japan, VIASA Airline, HBO, UNICEF, Showtime, Sesame Street, etc. His projects won

 international awards for creativity, innovation, imagination and originality. SIGGRAPH Electronic Theatre presented 

3 of his short films; others also won in Europe’s IMAGINA, NY Film Festival, ASIFA, WORLDFEST, BPME, NCGA, 

HOUSTON International Festival, British ONLINE, US Film Festival. Additionally, Edward is a recipient of a

 prestigious GUGGENHEIM Fellowship and the Jerome Foundation.

　　In his academic career Edward has conceived, designed, directed or consulted on launching new creative 

programs at Pratt Institute, Columbia University, art colleges in Colorado and Michigan. He spearheaded design 

of a new School of Art, Design & Media at a University in Singapore, and of its unique building. He then 

consulted on design, vision and launching of the School of Technology for the Arts in Singapore. Lastly, invited 

as a member of the MICA Board, he was involved in launching of SOTA, also in Singapore. In the last few years 

Edward has been invited as a Professor to Kadir Has University in Istanbul, Turkey, and a year after to Kyoto University 

Japan. This year, appointed Professor & the KoGuan Chair of Digital Arts & Design @ Peking University, he is in China

 evolving the program’s imaginative and disciplinary scope, diversity and its global foresight and alliances. This current

 contract concludes at the end of 2013.  Concurrently Edward has been conducting imagination inspiring “Gravity

 Free & Reality Independent” workshops and presentations. These have taken him to such diverse countries as: 

Poland, Germany, Malaysia, Canada, UAE, Costa Rica, Korea, Venezuela, Hong Kong, Israel, Netherlands and China, 

hence the current appointment. In January 2014 Edward is invited to conduct a 3 weeks long workshop in Cuba.

 Fascinated by potentials of a seamless fusion of reality with virtuality, into one magical dimension within which imagination 

roams free and nothing is unthinkable, Edward has been creating concept designs probing inspiring horizons and their

 impact on inventive ways to live, entertain, play or express ourselves.

　　Thus, via infinite power of ideas, Edward has realized worlds inspiring imagination by breaking free of the reality 

and gravity bound thinking. His time independent metamorphic stories and skill to visualize them, are now being infused 

into concepts probing interactive technology as the mightiest “magic wand” of all, plus personal artwork, writing and 

photography he’s been enlisted to perform as the AWN Expert Blogger.
